Testimonials

“Three things in my life saved me from going down a path of misery and depression:  my mother, God, and the staff (at Headway)…With each struggle I face now, I am filled with the courage and skills to take a healthy approach to fixing whatever it is that is I am having trouble with.”

Bobbi Jo has been in the human services field since 2005 and has worked with youth and families since 2009. She joined Headway in 2011 and provides traditional outpatient mental health services within a school setting.  The convenience of meeting with students and families within the school and also the ability to improve academic functioning through school collaboration has proven to be successful for the families she works with.  “My background as a master's level social worker has led me to see mental health as interconnected to all aspects of one's life; therefore I address family, individual, school, community and other concerns in sessions," she says.  "I also recognize the connection between mental health and self-care, focusing strongly on developing healthy lifestyle patterns to promote mental health."

In Bobbi Jo's spare time, she enjoys leading a Girl Scout group, being active outdoors, traveling, gardening, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
