Testimonials

"My staff (at Sioux Trail Elementary) have been sharing about Headway's training sessions. Teachers come back from the trainings excited to try new strategies and they have new understanding regarding mental health issues. This is making a difference in their classrooms and helping them relate to students when they are struggling."

-Shannon McParland, Principal, Sioux Trail Elementary

Outpatient Counseling for children and adolescents includes therapists who specialize in: play, family and group therapy; Anger Management; Sexual Abuse Treatment; and Adolescent Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Day Treatment

Our Day Treatment program is for teens experiencing significant emotional and mental health issues that cannot be resolved in a standard outpatient mental health setting.

In-School

Our school-based services address school success, truancy, mental health and chemical dependency through support, advocacy and case management.

Healthy Families

Our Hennepin Healthy Families-Headway (HHF-H) program serves young children from prenatal to age four and their first-time parents who are dealing with multiple challenges. Trained home visitors provide long-term, clinically-supervised intensive home visits that focus on strengths and relationship-building.

Case Management

Our highly qualified general and Mental Health Case Management Services staffs provide guidance and support for overburdened families whose children are at risk for abuse or neglect, and for those with children who have severe and long-term mental health needs.

Juvenile offenders ages 10-17 are referred to us by Hennepin County for services ranging from restorative justice programming to diversion groups and outpatient therapy.
