“Michael had no long term horizon, didn’t care about anything, was disengaged and had no foundation to start the recovery journey… Today he is a productive senior in HS involved in extra-curricular activities and thinking about college. (Headway) gave us traction, a positive track record of real accomplishments and new beginning.”

Elisabeth joined Headway in August, 2019, and has worked in the human services field for over 15 years. She is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at the University of St Thomas. She has past experience as a school-aged child care coordinator and middle school teacher in Twin Cities school districts. As an intern within our school-based therapy program, she is eager to apply coursework to real-world situations with children and families. She provides face to face therapy to youth and families in a school setting who are facing challenges in their lives at school, at home, and in the community.

When she is not working, Elisabeth likes to spend time with her family in the outdoors, tailgating, and attending Golden Gopher football games. She also volunteers at Bundles of Love sewing and crocheting essential baby items for local families in need.
