Julia joined Headway in August, 2017 and has worked in the human services field since 2015. She has previous experience providing services for teens as a residential youth counselor, and also was a mental health practitioner for children ages two to seven at an autism therapy center. She is excited about using her skills to be creative and think outside the box; she loves working with teens, and is excited that she gets to be goofy and creative in her work, and hopes to use her creativity to help build community between her group of teens, as well as to build a positive therapeutic relationship with each of her clients. “My goal is to develop therapeutic relationships with teens at Headway and assist them in learning to understand themselves better,” she says. "My hope is to help them learn and develop the tools necessary to successfully be a part of their schools, communities, and families and friends."

In her free time, Julia likes to snuggle with her dog and cat, read books, play piano and sing, go for runs, and spend time with her friends.
