“Three things in my life saved me from going down a path of misery and depression:  my mother, God, and the staff (at Headway)…With each struggle I face now, I am filled with the courage and skills to take a healthy approach to fixing whatever it is that is I am having trouble with.”

Michelle joined Headway as an intern in August. 2013 and after receiving her license in May, 2014, she joined Headway as a team member.  She has been working in the human services field since 2012. She studied at the University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University.  Through her work as a school-based therapist, she has been witness to the positive impact that support and therapeutic relationships can have on children's mental health.  “I hope to offer all the students that enter my office hope; even when their family struggles, school burdens, and relationship issues seem to be overbearing for them,” she says.

In her spare time, Michelle loves to spend time with her family and friends—especially her young nephew. She also enjoys being outdoors, running, boating, traveling, cooking, and going to concerts and movies.
