Testimonials

"My staff (at Sioux Trail Elementary) have been sharing about Headway's training sessions. Teachers come back from the trainings excited to try new strategies and they have new understanding regarding mental health issues. This is making a difference in their classrooms and helping them relate to students when they are struggling."

-Shannon McParland, Principal, Sioux Trail Elementary

Rebecca joined Headway in January, 2019 and has worked in the human services field since 2015. She has past experience working with youth experiencing homelessness, children, families, individuals battling addiction and mental health issues, and domestic abuse survivors. As a Skills Worker within our Vision program, she works as an advocate for youth in a school setting. She strengthens the communities in which she works by advocating for her clients and providing a safe space for them. "I enjoy learning my clients' stories, and getting to know them," she says.

When she is not working, Rebecca enjoys jogging and hanging out with her daughter.
